Is part of the ongoing work, we are doing as a Council to meet the challenges of the current financial climate facing local government the Council is developing its approach to managing productivity.
To do this we are putting together a productivity programme to address this through our financial sustainability plan and the service improvement work over the next 3 years.
Alongside this there is a requirement for Melton as a local authority to submit its productivity plan to the Government by the 19th July 2024 and then to publish this on the Council’s website.
The report sets out our proposed productivity programme and draft productivity plan response.
Cabinet
1) APPROVED the submission of the Productivity Plan to the Government by 19th July 2024;
2) APPROVED the publication of the Productivity Plan on the Council’s website following this submission;
3) APPROVED the Council’s wider approach to financial sustainability and productivity programme.
