Minute PL22 – Application 22/00404/FUL – North Lodge Farm, Longcliff Hill, Old Dalby

 

Councillor Browne declared a personal interest and advised he would leave the meeting for this application.

 

Councillors Cumbers, Glancy and Higgins each declared that they would leave the meeting for this application due to a previously declared Interest relating to a perception of bias should they take part.

 

Due to the above declarations, it was announced that this application be considered last so that the four members could leave the meeting and not be required to return.

The Planning Officer (MK) addressed the committee and provided a summary of the application. Following the presentation, Members asked questions for clarification.

 

Pursuant to Chapter 2, Part 9, Paragraphs 2.8-2.28 of the Council’s Constitution in relation the public speaking at Planning Committee, the Chair allowed the following to give a three minute presentation:

 

·       Councillor Howard Gresham, Wymondham & Edmondthorpe Parish Council

·       Matthew Broadhead, Opposer

·       Richard Johnson, Agent, HSSP Architects

 

Councillor Higgins proposed that the application be deferred for the applicant to reconsider the design to add 2 visitor parking spaces. Councillor Browne seconded the motion.

 

RESOLVED

 

That the application be deferred for the applicant to reconsider the design to add 2 visitor parking spaces.

The reasons for approval were as outlined in the report.

It was noted that, although not the applicant, Councillor Joe Orson was the landowner for this application.
