To resolve:

 

That the press and public be excluded from the meeting because the business to be transacted contains information relating to consultations or negotiations, or contemplated consultations or negotiations, in connection with any labour relations matter arising between the authority or a Minister of the Crown and employees of, or office holders under, the authority.

That the press and public be excluded from the meeting because the business to be transacted contains information relating to an individual, information that is likely to reveal the identity of an individual.

Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Policy 2022 - Test Purchase Failure

To consider the evidence of a failed test purchase and the course of action to be taken.

 

Minutes:

The Licensing Sub-Committee received testimony from the Licensing and Compliance Officer and the licensed driver. As a result of the evidence received the Licensing Sub-Committee determined the following.

 

RESOLVED

 

1)              That 21 points be added to driver’s record.

2)              The driver’s licence be suspended for a period of up to 1 month. This suspension will end upon successful completion, within that one month, of the Melton Borough Council (MBC) Knowledge Test (evidence must be provided to MBC’s Licensing Team).

3)              The Sub-Committee’s decision would act as a final warning to the driver in relation to failing to properly use the meter.
