Minutes:

Councillor P. Cumbers proposed Councillor J. Wyatt.

Councillor J. Hurrell seconded.

Councillor J. Wyatt was elected Chair.

 

The Panel members were Councillor J. Wyatt (Chair) Councillor P. Cumbers and Councillor J. Hurrell. Councillor P. Baguley as Substitute/Observer.

A vote was taken, proposed by Cllr Cumbers and seconded by Cllr Hurrell. It was a unanimous decision. It was

RESOLVED that the Public be excluded during the consideration of the following item of business in accordance with Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (Access to Information : Exempt Information) under paragraph(s) 1, 2 & 3.

Driver Hearing

Minutes:

Due to further information being received following despatch of the agenda and as a result a further report was to be presented to the Sub Committee, the Sub Committee agreed to adjourn the meeting for approximately two weeks.

 

The Licensing Sub-Committee adjourned at 10:45am and reconvened at 10am on Thursday 21st June 2018.

 

(Councillor Hurrell, Licensing and Compliance Officer (SG) and the Solicitor to the Council (SK) were not present for the reconvened meeting).

 

(Solicitor to the Council (MK) entered the  reconvened meeting. Councillor Baguley was a Member of the Sub Committee for the reconvened meeting).

 

The Assistant Director for Strategic Planning and Regulatory Services submitted a report and a supplementary report (copies of which had previously been circulated to members and appellant) which requested the Licensing Sub-Committee determine the Appellant’s position as a fit and proper person to continue to hold a Hackney Vehicle and Private Hire Drivers Licence.

 

RESOLVED that a written warning as to future conduct be issued.
