Variation of Leisure Agreements

Authority to vary the Leisure Agreements (dated 11 October 2011 and XXX) to enable the Council to deal with the issues arising as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic for up to 3 months and to extend the existing contracts for a period of up to 2 years.

Reason for urgency:
Leisure Centres were mandated to close by the Government as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Leisure Centres in the Borough of Melton closed on 21 March 2020. Negotiations are ongoing between the parties and once a mutually acceptable proposal has been reached an urgent decision will be required to enable the Council to put in place the support from April 2020.
